Web Design

I specialise in building WordPress. Whether its creating a web site from scratch or building a web site from an existing design. Most of the web sites with content management system use WordPress. All the web sites I build are mobile friendly. It's pretty much essential nowadays as more people view web sites on mobile devices. Google also likes mobile friendly sites.

Website Update

Once a web site is completed, it is still important to keep it updated. Whether this is adding details of new employees or to keep the software up to date. Like all software, WordPress needs to be kept up to date to be as secure as possible. Also, if you have an existing web site and need help updating/revamping it, I can help.

FAQs

Unfortunately it's hard to say exactly how much it will cost as every site is different and every client is different. But I believe I am good value and often much less than other quotes I have seen online. One thing I can say is that if you need some minor tweaks done to a website, since this is likely not to take too long, its not likely to cost you that much. Building a mobile-friendly, responsive website, especially if it's got things like e-commerce or some form of bespoke code, will be more. Please do not hesitate to contact me, provide some details of what is required and I can at the very least give you a ballpark quote.
This will depend on the website but usually around 1-2 months. But this can vary on different factors such as getting content for the website or workload. If the website has added complications such as bespoke coding required or e-commerce, then this will potentially be longer. If it's a simple website, it could well be less than 1 month. If its just tweaks required to the website, this is likely to be even less time.
Generally, I require an initial payment in advance at the start of the project, which is usually 50%. On completion of the project, final payment is required. For larger projects, splitting payment different is possible. I am sure something can be agreed :)
If you have a design for a website, which has been created by a graphic designer, but need someone to turn it into an actual working website, I can help with this. I have done this many times before. Sometimes designs are provided via something like Adobe XD or Figma and I can work with this. Sometimes designs come in something like an Illustrator file and all the individual files including JPEGs, PNGs, font files, PDFs etc
Yes, I have done this in the past where a WordPress theme has been purchased and setting this up for the client. Once its installed and setup, usually further work is required to get the website working and looking how the client wants. Usually purchased themes are designed to cater for as many different types of websites as possible so it can sometimes be difficult to set up exactly how you want, especially if you are not familiar with WordPress.
Yes, support/maintenance services are available at an additional cost. I do this for several different clients/websites. Usually a monthly fee is charged for a set amount of time. Although the website is likely to be able to updated by anyway via the content management system, some clients rather someone else does it. So whether client has a new menu, wants a new blog adding, has a new team member, I can help add this. Also, I regularly update any software which needs updating (and also do a backup). If the website is built using WordPress, just like any software, there are regular updates to it. These are updates to WordPress itself and also to plugins that are installed on the site. The updates add features but more importantly, fix bugs or security issues. Although most of my clients have a monthly maintenance deal, some clients I check less frequent e.g. 3 months, 6 months
Although I do not provide hosting and email hosting myself, I can recommend different providers which I have personally dealt with. And if you want, I can provide assistance with actually signing up for the right package.
